Why do my cakes last less than my supply house tells me?

Is it supposed that if I apply it to a friend it should be 24 hours and it just gives me less than 16 hours?

Previously, the values you saw in-game for the Birthday Cake buffs were old values and was purely visual bug. Note that the correct duration is listed in the Dev Diary. We have also pointed this out in a Dev Diary update. Lastly, the hotfix today corrected this description in-game so there should be no more confusion.
